Factories meet audited working conditions, and brands pay an extra premium that workers decide how to spend.

  • Counts as proof that workers are paid a living wage
  • Counts as an independent check of the supply chain

What it is

Fair Trade USA certifies clothing and homewares factories. Factories are audited for safety and workers' rights, and brands pay an extra premium on every product, which a committee of workers decides how to use, for example as cash bonuses.
