What we found
- Uses cotton in only a few products, so the raw-material check doesn't hold it back for Good. It doesn't show where its cotton comes from. The "Open supply chain" star needs all of it traced, certified or upcycled.
Research notes Girlfriend Collective, founded in Seattle in 2016 by Ellie and Quang Dinh, has said its garments are sewn at an SA8000-certified factory in Hanoi, Vietnam, with recycled polyester made in Taiwan and cupro in Japan, and that workers get free meals, health insurance and health checks. Its own site now says only that products are made in certified factories. It does not name factories or publish a supplier list, audit results or wage data, and is not in the Ethical Fashion Report. It ships to Australia from the US.
