Evidence
What we found
- "Made in Italy" only means the last major stage happened there: under customs and consumer law, materials and parts such as fabric, timber, glass, metal and ceramics can be made elsewhere. It hasn't shown where those earlier stages happen, so where it's made counts towards On Track but not Good. Source
- Doesn't show where its timber comes from. Timber is linked to illegal logging linked to forced labour, so it can't be graded Good until it traces or certifies it.
- Uses leather in only a few products and doesn't show where it comes from. That doesn't count against it for Good, but the "Open supply chain" star needs all of it traced, certified or upcycled.
Research notes Flexform says all its products are designed and made in Italy at its single factory in Meda, with a supply chain of cabinetmakers, upholsterers, foundries and finishers a few kilometres away. It has published annual sustainability reports since 2021-2022, prepared with PwC, but publishes no supplier list, audit results or living wage commitment. Its goose down carries the Assopiuma Gold Label; it gives no origin or certification for its wood and leather.
