Evidence

What we found

  • Uses timber in only a few products, so the raw-material check doesn't hold it back for Good. It traces or certifies most of its timber. The "Open supply chain" star needs all of it traced, certified or upcycled.
  • Owns or runs its own production

Research notes Bugaboo has owned and run its own factory in Xiamen, China since 2009, where about 430 workers assemble and stitch its strollers. It says it has held SA8000 certification since 2010, with yearly external audits, and that its lowest wage is 25% above the local living wage, but it publishes no certificate, supplier list or independent wage check. Buying Joolz in 2025 took its staff to about 1,200. It does not say what share of all products the Xiamen plant makes or where other suppliers are. The Giraffe high chair uses FSC-certified beech.
