- Plus at least two of: pays beyond a living wage; finds and fixes problems (publicly reports and remedies issues, runs a worker complaints system, or invests directly in workers' communities); actively empowers workers (ownership, worker committees, union agreements)
- Refurbished, second-hand, rental and repair businesses also qualify, because they create no new demand for factory or mining labour
