Fair Wear

The brand joins a programme that checks its factories, runs a worker complaints line and pushes it towards paying a living wage.

  • Counts as an independent check of the supply chain
  • Counts as working towards a living wage, which can make a brand Almost good

What it is

Fair Wear is a non-profit that works with clothing brands. It audits their factories, runs a complaints helpline workers can call directly, and checks each year how the brand's own buying practices (prices and deadlines) affect workers. Brands are rated Leader, Good or Needs Improvement.
